1st John 1: 5-10 King James Version (KJV) 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
God is light and there is not darkness in Him. If we walk with God, we are walking with light. God’s light represents righteousness and truth. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, one of the definitions of light is truth. Righteousness is defined as free from guilt or sin. The light exposes darkness, wrong doing. Darkness and light can not dwell together. Light will outshine the darkness. So, if we are living a life of deception, by day we are peaceful and loving and by night total chaos causing all kinds of troubling, fussing and cussing. The light will show us what we are doing wrong and give instructions to make correction. That is God’s truth helping us to get back in right relation with Him. We were created in God’s image to bear His LIGHT!
Be Blessed!
