Our focus is ” let love be without dissimulation”. Dissimulation means to hide under false appearance according to Merriam Webster Dictionary. The focus phrase now reads as “let love be without a false appearance”. “Let love be without a hidden agenda”.
We are to love unconditionally. It does not matter the hurt, pain, action etc.. Jesus, yes Christ Jesus died for all mankind. He did no wrong. Yet, He walked the earth and gave His love to all. Yup! The women who was caught in adultery, Paul who murdered Christians and Judas who betrayed Him for money. There are many other examples of Christ showing love.
Here is what needs to be noticed. The love given by Christ and that is to be given by all, is “agape” love. Agape love, is a love that wishes no harm. It wants the individual to succeed. You can not tell me that a person does not need love. Scientists have tested this and found that even plants respond to love. The plant that did not get attention died and the plant that received attention flourished. Oh, you are saying, I do not talk to my plants. Yeah right! 🙂
Giving encouragement is a form of love. Let’s encourage someone today. Share how you made it through your depression, oppression, feeling of inferiority etc.. Let them know that can make it and you love them just because. No strings attached. Look them in the eyes, smile and give them a hug.
