Reflection

Today is last day of the 2014, December 31.  May we reflect on our achievements and failures for the year.  May we give God thanks for each achievement and failure.  May we look at our failures and learn from our mistakes so that when the situation arises again, we will sail through it with no problems. May we end the year on our knees in thanksgiving to God.  May we begin the new of 2015 on our knees thanking God for allowing us to see yet another year.

God is worthy to be praised!

Be Blessed!

Branch Out

Genesis 12:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Abram was 75 years old when he was called by God to receive a blessing. In order to receive the blessing that God promised he had to come from among his people.

Sometimes in life, in order to get what you need to be successful, just like Abram, you have to change your surroundings.  As long as you are in that same spot, you can not see what is beyond horizon. Do not be afraid to branch out, God will be there with you. You and I are the seed of Abram (Abraham).

Be Blessed!

Seasons

There are 24 hours in day. One day is a 1000 years to the Lord.  The Lord does not deal with hours and minutes, He deals in seasons. The Lord said be ready in season and out of season.

“New Season” by Israel Houghton and Derick W. Thomas

It’s a new season it’s a new day
A fresh anointing is flowing my way
It’s a season of power and prosperity
It’s a new season coming to me

The devil’s time is up no longer can he bother me
Cause the Creator of the universe He Father’s me
And it’s transferable my children’s children shall be free
It’s a new season it’s a new season

All that was stolen is returned to you a hundred fold
Tried in the fire but you’re comin’ out gold
All that was stolen is returned to you a hundred fold
Tried in the fire but you’re comin’ out gold
Cling to His Hand Yes to every promise take a hold
It’s a new season

Everything that we have been going through is preparing us for the next level. It is our new season. Get ready, it is coming our way!

Be Blessed!

Happy Monday

Wow, it is Monday!  It is time to motivate yourself to get moving, there is work to be done.  Let’s pray.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your precious blood that has saved and cleansed us from sin.  Thank You Lord for giving us another opportunity to represent You in all that we say and do.  It is because of Your mercy that we are not consumed. It is because Your compassion fails not, that we continue to go forward. Thy mercy Lord is new every morning and great is Thy faithfulness.

Thank You Lord for Your grace, strength and mercy to make it through.

Amen!

Gentleness

Gentleness is the quality of the state of being gentle;mildness of manners or disposition.

In our speaking to others we are to have gentleness, especially when making correction. It is easier for one to receive what you are saying when you have the spirit of gentleness coupled with kindness.

Galatians 5:22 (King James Version)  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,  gentleness, goodness, and faith.

Be Blessed!

Healing Confessions and Scriptures

We can never get enough of speaking healing confessions. Let’s speak the word.

Africanaprincess

We all want to walk in divine healing and health. Here are a few healing scriptures and confessions.

Psalm 107:20 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Speak:  Lord your word says that  you sent your word and it healed me and delivered me from my destructions.

Psalm 103:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies,

Speak:  Lord your word says that you forgive me of my iniquities, heal all diseases and have redeemed my life from destruction.

Romans 8:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies…

Exercise

Exercise is important to maintain our body. The more we move, we maintain our muscle mass. Muscles burns more calories than fat.  Now we do need some fats, but not excessive.

Some of us are more fine tuned than others and you can see that hour-glass or chiseled look.  Some of us are working to get that point and some of us are waiting for that urge to put the body in motion.

As we exercise our body to become physically fit, we also need to exercise our mind to acquire knowledge.  Knowledge is power. The more you study and practice in your area of choice, the better you become.  In our daily tasks of becoming a better worker, student, teacher, husband or wife. We can find that knowledge needed on in the Bible. Like the book of Proverbs. Proverbs is considered the Book of Wisdom.

Proverbs 25:16 (KJV)  Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.  Here we see if we eat too much food, we will vomit. We only eat what we need to sustain us.  I know this will be a challenge. We have Christmas and New Years coming up.  I love sweets. I have a candy dish at my desk just in case I want something sweet.  Will I get rid of my candy dish? Nope! But I will cut back.  Right after I finish that bag of candy corn.  Just joking! I will only eat a few.

Remember, exercise the body and the mind.

Be Blessed!

It’s Friday!

It is Friday and we should be thankful.

We had a productive week. We accomplished some goals and added some tasks to our task list. As we begin to wind down and play the favorite song of choice to relax, let’s take the time out to thank God for allowing us to see another day.

Lord I thank you for allowing us to see another Friday. Thank you Lord for giving us the strength and grace to make it.  Thank you Lord for the goals accomplished and for the tasks that we added.

Alright, it is time to bust the move!

Be Blessed!

Comforter

Proverbs 18:10 (KJV) 10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Are you in need of comfort?  Proverbs 18:10 tells us that the Lord is our place of refuge. When we go to the Lord we are safe. Cast all your cares on the Lord and He will give you rest.  Really!  Instead of seeking comfort by eating that bag of chips, candy bar, pizza, or ice cream, go to the Lord.

Be Blessed!
