Children Our Hertiage

Our children are a blessing from the Lord.  We are to love, nurture and train them.  As parents, guardians, aunts, uncles and grandparents we are play a part in a child’s life.

Psalm 127: 3-5 (NIV) 3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Proverbs 22:6  (NIV) 6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

Hold the children close, give them words of love and encouragement. They are our leaders of tomorrow. They are our heritage from the Lord.

Be Blessed!

Endurance

Trails and tribulations  that we go through helps us be better individuals. In Romans 5:3 it states that we can rejoice when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Endurance is ability or strength to continue through pain and hardship.   Endurance develops strength of character and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. (Romans 5:4)

Our hope of salvation is in Christ as He has delivered us from sin and protects us from harm.  Know that as we go through each trial and tribulation we are strengthened and are safe in Christ arms.

So when the next trial comes along, take it in stride as you are victorious in Christ Jesus!

Be Blessed!

Crossroads

Crossroads is a point at which an important decision must be made.  In the 6th chapter of Jeremiah,  we see that the God’s people are at a crossroad.

16 This is what the Lord says:  “Stop at the crossroads and look around.      Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.     But you reply, ‘No, that’s not the road we want!’  18 “Therefore, listen to this, all you nations.      Take note of my people’s situation. 19 Listen, all the earth!     I will bring disaster on my people.  It is the fruit of their own schemes, because they refuse to listen to me.    They have rejected my word.

God always gives us the will to say yes or no.  In saying no to God, it brought disaster.   Today we are no longer under the law. We are under grace and we still have choice.  God’s children know his voice.

26 But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me. (John 10:26-28 NJK)

I am at a crossroad. Which way will I go?  I will take hold of my husband’s hand, my covering and follow God. We will stand strong in God and move forward into that which He has promised.

Are you at a crossroads?  Which direction will you choose?

Be Blessed!

Faith- Fiery Furnance

In our everyday life are Christian beliefs are challenged.  Christians are thought to be poor and the Bible tells me that we are rich and God has the proper to give us wealth.  When Jesus came to earth, born of a virgin, he left all riches in heaven to another state of wealth.  No where in the word of God does it say that Jesus was poor.  It is okay to be wealthy and Christian.

We need to be like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and do not waver in our faith in God. It does not matter if they look at us crazy and their countenance changes toward us, BELIEVE GOD.

Daniel 3:16-19 King James Version (KJV)

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.  19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

Here we see that the King was so mad that he made the furnace 7 times hotter than normal.  He put Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in fiery furnace and GOD/JESUS came on the scene.

Daniel 3:24-26 King James Version (KJV)

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

As long as we stand on the word of God, we can not fail. God is fighting for us, protecting us and guiding us to succeed.  The challenge(s) being faced does not matter, we have victory in Christ Jesus.   Resolve today to believe and have faith in GOD.

Be Blessed!

Relationship with Christ Jesus

We we created to have a relationship with God. God wants to have a relationship with us. He wants to share his love for us through his son, Jesus.  The text today Matthew 11:27-30 from the Message Bible sums it up nicely.

Matthew 11:27-30 The Message (MSG)

27 Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. “The Father has given me all these things to do and say. This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge. No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does. But I’m not keeping it to myself; I’m ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen.

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

He is asking us to come with him and take rest. Walk with him and he will show us how to live freely!

Bless God, we are free in Christ Jesus!

Be Blessed!

God Will Provide

It is human nature to worry.  Worry is to afflict with mental distress, to make anxious.  Do we have enough money for food, utilities and to live for the next week?  We tell God you know we only have so much money till next pay. Then we ask what are we going to do?

Matthew 6:25-34 King James Version (KJV) tell us  25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The text tells us that God has provided for the birds of the air to the flowers in the fields.   They did not sow or reap, they received their daily bread.  God said I Will Provide.  He is Jehovah Jirah, our provider.  There is a condition that must be fulfilled. Seek the kingdom of God 1st and his righteousness.  This will  put thee in right standing with God and God will provide the bread needed to sustain thee.

Be Blessed!

All Belong to God

God said  every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills his .  If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.  (Psalm 50:10,16 )

The job and the home that we have are God’s. God put us in our job to be a light to the people.  God put us in our home to be a protector over our neighborhood by praying.

Pray for the people on your job and the company.  Pray for your neighborhood and your neighbors.  The prayer of the righteous availeth much!!!

Be Blessed!

The Lord’s Prayer

Matthew 6 King James Version (KJV)

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

When we are praying the Lord Prayer we are asking for the Kingdom of God to be here on earth.  In the Kingdom of God there is wealth, health, joy and no sorrow.  In the Kingdom of God there is a common wealth.  Everyone shares the wealth of the King.  There is no one poor or sick. There is no lack.

May we all pray  to have the common wealth of the Kingdom of God here on earth. God prospers us so we may bless those that are in need.  We are to be blessing to others.  In doing so, we are showing the love of God.

Be Blessed!

Prayer – Secret Place

In Matthew 6:6-7 (KJV)  it states 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

We are to seek God in place where we will not be disturbed. A place where we can give all of our attention to him.   As we pray to God, we are to speak out heart and give him his word that he gave us. By give him his word, I mean the word of the Bible.  God hastens to his word.  God will reward thee and give thee guidance.

Be Blessed!
