Love Poem

Image result for heart

Oh that men would praise His name, would praise His name to the ends of the earth.

Jesus was whipped, thorn and crucified for us, so we may have life.

Oh that men would praise His name.

He died and rose triumphantly with the keys of death.

Oh that men would praise his name.

Come unto me and I will give you rest.

Oh that men would praise His name.

I created you in my image and given you power.

Oh that men would praise His name.

Even though you forsake me, I still love you.

Oh that men would praise His name.

You are a royal priesthood, a chosen generation.

Oh that men would praise His name.

I love you says the Lord, I love you.

Be Blessed!

Celebrating Christmas

Image result for Christmas tree

I love this time of year, celebrating Christmas.  I love decorating the tree, cooking and watching stories about Christmas. Especially the ones that tell the story of the birth of Christ, my risen Savior.

The Christmas tree reminds of when the people from afar brought gifts to Christ Jesus when He was born. It was an act of love and a celebration of life. The Messiah that would save the world. We can not save the world, but we have the answer, Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus, the hope or our calling. The one who gives, peace, joy, happiness in the midst of trouble and when there is no trouble.

It is during this season, that people from all over the world seem to unify and celebrate. People give freely of their heart, just as Christ gave freely of Himself.

Blessings!

Christmas

Image result for Christmas

Christmas Day will soon be here. Six days to go. During this season we should be celebrating the birth of our Lord. However, the reason for the season has changed to a promotion for Santa Claus and a big money-maker for the retail stores to turn a profit in which bottom line figures turn to black from red. Where is the telling of the birth of Jesus?

One day an individual and I had a conversation about Christmas. She did not like Christmas, because she could afford to give her children the presents they wanted when they were little because she did not have the money. I could relate to not having the money to get my children all the gifts they wanted. I shared with her the reason for Christmas. Christmas is not about Santa Claus, it is about the birth of Jesus. God sent his son in human form, so we would have the right to salvation. Christmas is not about the gifts it is about Christ. Yes, I sing “Santa Claus is coming to town”, but I tell my children the gifts that they are getting are from the Lord. He has provided us with the money to purchase you the gifts that you have received. Long story short, her reply was I wish I knew that when her children was smaller.

As we get closer to our Christian Holiday “Christmas”, may we remember the reason for the season.

Be Blessed!

Branch Out

Image result for picture of branches

Genesis 12:1-4 King James Version (KJV)

12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Abram was 75 years old when he was called by God to receive a blessing. In order to receive the blessing that God promised he had to come from among his people.

Sometimes in life, in order to get what you need to be successful, just like Abram, you have to change your surroundings.  As long as you are in that same spot, you can not see what is beyond horizon. Do not be afraid to branch out. God will be there with you. You and I are the seed of Abraham. Are you ready to branch out?

Be Blessed!

You Cannot Flee From God

Image result for cartoon pictures of fleeing

When we are disobedient to God and try to flee from Him,He will send someone or something to get your attention, just like He did with Jonah.

Jonah was told by God to go to Nineveh and cry out against it. Jonah decided that he would disobey God and flee from God’s presence. Jonah went to Joppa and boarded a boat to Tarshish.  In his disobedience, he caused turmoil to come upon the ship in such a way that the sea was raging. He was thrown over board into the sea and God had a fish waiting to swallow him up to get his attention. Jonah needed deliverance and he cried out to God.

“Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. 3 For You cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the floods surrounded me; All Your billows and Your waves passed over me. 4 Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’ 5 The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. 6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God. 7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. 8 “Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.” 10 So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah on to  dry land.

Just as God had the fish put Jonah back on dry land, the same is true for us today.   God will deliver us if we repent and cry out to Him.

Psalm 32:7 states “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah” (NKJV)

Philippians 1:18-20 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. 19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. (NKJV)

It does not matter the situation, God will deliver! The key is to ask God for help and follow His instructions!

Be Blessed!

Relationship with Christ Jesus

Image result for relationship

We we created to have a relationship with God. God wants to have a relationship with us. He wants to share his love for us through his son, Jesus.  The text today Matthew 11:27-30 from the Message Bible sums it up nicely.

Matthew 11:27-30 The Message (MSG)

27 Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. “The Father has given me all these things to do and say. This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge. No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does. But I’m not keeping it to myself; I’m ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen.

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

He is asking us to come with him and take rest. Walk with him and he will show us how to live freely!

Bless God, we are free in Christ Jesus!

Be Blessed!

The Fullness In Christ Jesus- Repost

Image result for Fullness

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell. Colossians 1:19 KJV

The Word of the Lord tells us that we are in Christ Jesus. In Colossians 1:19 is states that it pleased the Father that in Him (Christ Jesus) should all fullness dwell.  So if we are in Christ Jesus the fullness of Him dwells in us.

Be Blessed!

Thankful

Image result for picture of thankful

The month of November was a tough month for me. I was tired and I did not feel. My patience was tried. In order to get to the next step, I had to listened and have an understanding. In spite of not feeling my best, I still kept moving until my body said no, you will rest.  I had to rest in God. I had to depend on God and my family. I am truly thankful for this time, as I learned even the more to depend on God. The importance of family was ingrained in my mind more.  It was when I spent time in the Word of God, that my spirit man was renew and my mind was lined up with the right words regarding healing. The right words of faith. Faith in God that is able to do what He said He would do through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 2:7 KJV Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Despite what ever we go through in life, there should always be something that we learn from the situation and we should be thankful.

Blessings!

Giving Time

Image result for picture of timepiece

One of the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Think about it, what did your parents, teachers, family give you as you grew up? Their time. They spent time with you to play, teach, laugh, listen, explain and encourage. On your job, someone spent time with you so you could learn your position.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I can look back on my life and see how the time my parents spent with me help mold me into the individual I am today. For this I am truly thankful.  So, I will pay this forward to my children and others that God has placed in life.

Be Blessed!
