When one is in error, they should be corrected. One wants to make sure they are performing the task correctly. Showing correction is a form of love.
Proverbs 3:11-12 indicates my son do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.
The Lord corrects whom He loves and we should do like wise.
