The Morning Struggle

The struggle in the morning is real when it comes to getting up and ready. Now, the intent is there to be up early to spend time with God, but that sleep just is ah so good. The heart and motive are right but now the time is short and it seems like there is no time for God. There is time, grab your Bible and say a verse or two. Say thank you Lord, that is a prayer. Before you know it, your day will begin to shift as God is put 1st and a calmness will settle within you.

John 16: 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Christ is within us and as the Words of God are a spoken, peace within will arise.

Prisioned Dreams

Prison building, jail cell, bob wire fences and iron bars are not just physical, it is also mental. The hope and dreams that use to run wild in your mind is now locked up in the prison of your mind. Hurts and failures are seen as a reason to give up on the dream in your heart. Awaken from your slumber and remember the dream is a start. Begin to write what you see and dare to trust God and move toward your dream to see it become a reality.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 King James Version ² And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. ³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Hope- God’s Promise

Have you ever woke up with something so strong on your heart regarding someone else and when you prayed God instructed you to read  and He gave YOU words of encouragement ? That was me today. In my quest to be debt free and owe nothing to one, I swear bills are coming out of no where.  After reading a section of the August 2013 Believer’s Voice of Victory magazine by Kenneth Copeland Ministries, the presence of the Lord was all over me.  In reading Deuteronomy 8:7-10 and Proverbs 10:22  and it gave me encouragement.  I hope this help you too.

Seasons

In the midst of this brisk cold morning, one can find warmth in cuddling up in your blanket or drinking a nice cup of hot tea. In spite of the spring season with winter weather, we can all relate to seasons in our lives that moves us into another area of learning. The Bible tells us “to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

May you learn from your current season to  trust God more and trust that He has equipped you to do what He has called you to do.

Peaceful Beauty

As I move about the day and move through the rain, I have to acknowledge the beauty of the day. The grey sky with a light background, which let’s me know the sun is wanting to break through. The Son of God, Christ Jesus wants to break some things up in our lives, so that we can have joy and peace.

Power in Words

Proverbs 15:4 King James Version 

⁴ A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

 

We have the power in the words that we speak to uplift or bring down. We are called to give hope to others, not hatred or gossip. Rise up my brother and sister and speak life.

Show Love

 

Galatians 5:13 King James Version (KJV) ¹³ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

No matter what position you are in the church, corporate world, government or your home, we are to serve each other with love.

Furthermore as a Christian, Jesus said, people will know that we are a Christian by the love that we show to one another.

John 13:35 KJV  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Screaming and yelling when you can not get your way in not lovely.   Talking bad about the lady at the counter who is patiently trying to assist you as you complain is not lovely.  Not matter if you are serving or being served, you should show love.

Show someone love today.

Proverbs A Nugget of Knowledge – Correction

 

 

1. Proverbs 28:23 King James Version He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

Correcting one when they are in error puts the corrector in a better light to the receiver of the correction. Although they may not like what is being said, they will be grateful in the end that the person cared enough to take the time out to help put them back on the right way.  Truth is not always easy, but it is right.
