Happy Thanksgiving

Today is the day in which we gather together with family and friends giving thanks to God for what He has done. We cook our favorite foods and enjoy each others company. There are loved that have passed on and we remember their smiles, laugh and stories.

I am thankful to God for all that He has done for me. There were some obstacles in my way and I continued forward in God’s grace. I am thankful to God that I am moving forward and not back.  I am thankful to God for my husband, my children, my parents, my family, friends and co-workers.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Be Blessed!

Reconciliation

Reconciliation is what makes union possible. It removes everything that separates.

When I hear the word sculpting, it reminds me of an Artist. An Artist carefully shaping their clay to make a spectacular master piece. Sculpting is derived from the word sculpt, which is defined as to make or shape a statue.

Isaiah 64:8 says “But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”

For every storm that blows your way, God is equipping you with longevity.  He is showing you how to endure without falling. He is trimming where it needs to be trimmed and He is changing your heart. Ah, then it happens, a pearl is formed. So beautiful!

Dear Lord:

Continue to prune, shape and mold us until we become a pearl.

Amen.

Be Blessed!

Giving

Proverbs 28:22 ( ESV), A stingy man hastens after wealth and does not know that poverty will come upon him.

When the Lord Jesus walked the earth he stated that it is better to give than to receive. When you freely give, you are storing up treasures in heaven.  When ever you lend to the poor/less fortunate God said he will repay you.

As the scripture states that a  stingy man does not know that poverty will come upon him. One can be blessed in on area and lacking in another. So if you are blessed with money, but you are lacking in love, what is it worth? You are being stingy with your love. The result of this stinginess is poverty in the area of love. The Lord Jesus wants us to blessed in every area of our life.  3 John 2 (ESV), Beloved I pray that all may be well with you and that you may be in good heath, as it goes well with your soul.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Teach us how to be givers. Givers of our time, money and love.

Amen.

Be Blessed!

It’s Friday

Wow! It’s Friday and we are able to see it. Another day to inhale and exhale. Being able to see today really is significant because we could be dead. No one knows the day or hour when they will have to leave this world.

This day, I thank God for allowing me to make it through another work week.  I thank God for being amongst the land of the living and moving forward in Christ Jesus!

May everyone reading this post have a blessed day. End this week with a sweet note of praise. In everything give thanks.

Be Blessed!

Iron Sharpens Iron

Proverbs 27:17  ( New King James Version)

As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friends.

This bible verse is telling us that friends can either enhance us or bring us down.  Sharp can mean keen in spirit, stylish or harsh. The question that one needs to ask oneself is the company of friends I am keeping driving me to do better or worse?

Be Blessed!

Angry?

Proverbs 19:11 English Standard Version (ESV) 11 Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.

There will always be someone who going to say something that will make you mad. Take a moment and think about what you are going to say. We are to be quick to listen and slow to get angry. Now it is not a sin to get angry. Even Jesus got mad and over turned the tables in the temple.  We are not sin in our anger.  In that moment when you are about to respond, it is okay to walk away.  The person trying to provoke will either be speechless and shut up or they will follow you. Yeah, they will come right behind you still talking. Just keep walking. You are protecting your heart. Over look the hurt words that was spoken. Easier said then done. I know.

Personally, I do not like to argue. If I see that you are blowing someone out of perspective, I will walk away. I am not going to have that conversation with you. I then pray to God and ask God to help me. Just keeping it real.

Be Blessed!

Psalm 115 He Will Bless You

Psalm 115:11-18 11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield. 12 The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.14 The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. 15 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. 16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. 17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence. 18 But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.

The Lord wants to bless His people to be fruitful in all things. For all the things that the Lord has done for you and me, He is truly worthy of all Praise! Do not be silent, let the world know what the Lord has done for you. You are a testimony for the Lord.

Be Blessed!

Thirsty?

Have you ever been thirsty and you first reached for some juice and realized after drinking the entire glass, that you were still thirsty? So then you get some soda or seltzer before you finally pour a tall galls of water. Finally the glass of water does the trick.

My brothers and sisters, there is one who wants to quench our thirst so that we will never be thirsty. His water is all-powerful. This is the water from the Almighty One. Once you take a drink and find out how filled and satisfied you are, you will not want to taste another.

John 4:13-14 King James Version (KJV) 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Dear Lord, you promised that anyone who drinks from your fountain, will never be thirsty and their well will never run dry. I pray Lord that you will full up the men and women who are reading this post and have your water overflow within them. May the well within their soul never run dry. May they only thirst for You. You are Jehovah Jirah, our provider. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Flesh or Spirit

Romans 8:1 King James Version (KJV)

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Once you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are no longer under condemnation.  You have put away the old man/woman and have become a new person.  Isn’t that good news?  All the bad things that was done, has been wiped away. The question now is seeing that you are in Christ Jesus and you are not under condemnation, are you willing to leave your past and move forward?  Are you willing not to walk after the flesh? Are willing to walk after the Spirit of Christ?

Romans 8:1 clearly states therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  This is two-fold.  1. Walk not after the flesh. 2. Walk after the Spirit of Christ.

Be Blessed!
