We use faith every day. Faith is used when you sit down in a chair, when you walk up and down stairs, when you are walking next to trees etc. Faith is even used when you are putting on your clothes. These are a few examples of faith.
How is faith applied in these examples?
- The chair, faith is that the chair will hold you up and not break when you sit down.
- The stairs, faith is that you will not fall through the steps.
- Walking next to trees or building, the tree or building will not fall on you.
- Putting on clothes, faith is the material and thread used to make the clothing will stay together and not fall of the body.
Strong’s Concordance 4102, 3640 and 1680 defines faith as the following:

Websters Dictionary defines faith as a strong belief or trust in someone or something;belief in the existence of God;religious feelings or beliefs;a system of religious beliefs;allegiance to duty or a person fidelity to one’s promise; sincerity of intentions; belief and trust in and loyalty to God;belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion;firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust.
So faith is believing in something in which there is no proof. Faith is believing in something in which there is no evidence. It is believing in something that is not seen.
Romans 12:3 King James Version (KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Base upon Roman 12:3 we not only see that God has given everyone faith, the scripture points out that God has given us faith in ourselves. The Bible also tell us to have Faith in God, which is found in the 11th chapter of Mark, verse 22.
