Rolling Waves

Rolling waves of the ocean flowing to towards the shore, beats across what ever is in its path. Even though there is a moment of friction, the waves still reach, the shore.

As life throws waves of friction, continue to stay strong and keep moving towards the goal. God will still the waves.

Psalm 89:9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

Praying and Purpose

Praying does not mean convincing God to do your will, but His will through you. God needs a willing vessel to yield unto Him, to do His work of preaching the Good News about Him. The question rings, how do you know your purpose? Look at what you are currently doing at work and ask God how you can use your gift in the Kingdom of God. God will show you exactly were you fit.

Prayer for Strength

Psalm 119:159

New King James Version (NKJV)

159 Consider how I love Your precepts; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your loving kindness.

Lord Jesus we love your commandments and follow them.  Consider us Lord as we ask for strength. We need you Lord to make it through this day.  Thank you Lord for your loving kindness and for strength.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Be Blessed

Sculpting

When you hear the word sculpting, it reminds ones of an Artist. An Artist carefully shaping their clay to make that spectacular master piece.

Sculpting is derived from the word sculpt, which is defined as to make or shape a statue.

Isaiah 64:8 says “But now, O Lord you are our Father; We are the clay and your our potter; And all we are the work of your hand.”

For each storm that blows your way. God is equipping you with longevity. Showing you how to endure without falling. He is trimming where it needs to be trimmed. He is changing the heart and the attitude.

Ahh, then it happens, a pearl is formed. Oh, that is pearl is you! So beautiful!

Dear Lord,

Continue to prune, shape and mold us until we become a pearl.

In Jesus name,

Amen

Blessings,

Challenges of the New Day

The challenges of a new day are the same for everyone. Really?   If you are still on this earth moving and breathing, yes the challenges of the a new day are the same. We begin to think about the day, we begin to move portions of our body and we open our eyes.  After this, some pray to God or the little god. Some are thankful and some wish they were still asleep as the task ahead is too heavy. It is a choice to pray or not to pray. You can be positive or negative, it is still a choice. Today, I encourage you to be positive and choose life. Choose things that are for your good.

If you are struggling, there is a Savior, Christ Jesus who wants to help you and I. He tells us in Matthew 11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

No matter what the challenge is, we can rest in Christ Jesus. He will give us the strength to go on and give us the direction needed to make it through the day.

I choose to rest in God. The choice is yours.

Blessings

Violence Is Not The Answer

Image result for no violence

In the “Essential Writings  and Speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr”  the speech titled ” The Power of  Nonviolence” written many years ago still applies today.  This is what I want to point in the writing:

“The end of violence or the aftermath of violence is bitterness. The aftermath of nonviolence is reconciliation and the creation of a beloved community. A boycott is never an end within itself. It is merely a means to awaken a serve of shame within the oppressor, but the end is reconciliation, the end is redemption.”

Violence is not going to give peace, but bitterness. The anger within is still there. The anger within is from being oppressed and not heard.  The anger within is also due to someone thinking that they are better than the other.  This includes people in authority of every aspect, who abuse their authority. People, no one is better than the other, as each one on this earth has purpose and value. From the individual who sweeps the floor, answers the phones, assigns work and completes the work, each person is of value. Violence is not going to help this world be better.  Love will make this place better. The love that is given and shown will change this world. Not only does love change, but prayers to our Lord will affect this world.

Begin to pray for your family, friends, leaders, the people within your circle for change and for them to feel the love of God. Now, you show love, as Jesus Christ said  “and this is how men will know that your are His discipline, the love that you have for one another.”

Blessings!

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you Lord for allowing me to complete another week. Thank you for your strength. In my weakness you make me strong. When I wanted to just stay in the bed, you kept me going and for this I am thankful. I will continue to be submissive to Your will.  Lord continue to guide me.

Prayer – Oppressed

Dear Lord,

I pray for my brother and sister who are feeling oppressed today. Lord you said you will be a refuge for the oppressed and you raise those who are bowed.

In the name of Jesus, I speak to the spirit of oppression and tell you to go from my brother and sister. According to Matthew 18:18 what ever is bound of earth is bound in heaven and what ever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. Lord your word says that man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).  Lord I thank you for strengthening their heart and in you Lord they have put their trust.  This day and forever more they are healed by the blood of Jesus.

Amen!

Be Blessed!

Scripture References

Psalm 9:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 146:8 NKJV

8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.

Psalm 31:22-24 NKJV

22 For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. 23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.

Isaiah 53:5 New King James Version NKJV

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Happy Monday

Wow, it is Monday!  It is time to motivate yourself to get moving, there is work to be done.  Let’s pray.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your precious blood that has saved and cleansed us from sin.  Thank You Lord for giving us another opportunity to represent You in all that we say and do.  It is because of Your mercy that we are not consumed. It is because Your compassion fails not, that we continue to go forward. Thy mercy Lord is new every morning and great is Thy faithfulness.

Thank You Lord for Your grace, strength and mercy to make it through.

Amen!
