Need Rest?

Matthew 11:29 King James Version (KJV)

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

It is in our time of struggle, when we reach out to God and He makes us strong. When we take one step, He takes two.  He carries us on his wings and we abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Be encouraged today beloved, God is walking with you and making you strong. Ah, He says come unto me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  Are you in need of rest today?

Be Blessed!

Lion and the Lamb – Notes

I tend to take notes when I am hearing the Word of the Lord preached and I take notes when I do my own personal devotion. While reading through an old notebook I came across a statement that made we say ” Wow”. Here is the statement.

The lion and the lamb must lie down together in yourself.

What a statement. You and I individually need to come into agreement with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We need to stop wrestling with the one who has come to give life, life more abundantly and accept the gift that is given.

What does this statement mean to you?

Be Blessed!

Prayer – Oppressed

Dear Lord,

I pray for my brother and sister who are feeling oppressed today. Lord you said you will be a refuge for the oppressed and you raise those who are bowed.

In the name of Jesus, I speak to the spirit of oppression and tell you to go from my brother and sister. According to Matthew 18:18 what ever is bound of earth is bound in heaven and what ever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. Lord your word says that man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).  Lord I thank you for strengthening their heart and in you Lord they have put their trust.  This day and forever more they are healed by the blood of Jesus.

Amen!

Be Blessed!

Scripture References

Psalm 9:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 146:8 NKJV

8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.

Psalm 31:22-24 NKJV

22 For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You. 23 Oh, love the Lord, all you His saints! For the Lord preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person. 24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.

Isaiah 53:5 New King James Version NKJV

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Let’s Thank God

Let’s thank God that we made it to today. Let’s thank God that we are still alive, as you know someone did not wake up this morning. Let’s thank God for our health. Let’s thanks God for being in our right mind. Let’s thank for God for our jobs and home. Let’s thank God for our family and friends. Let’s thank God for His grace. Let’s thank God for His Word, as it is His word that has allowed us to be here today. The devil wishes to shift us like wheat, but God. He is our provider, our healer, our deliver and much more. We shall mount up with wings as an eagle. We shall run and not get weary. We shall walk and not faint.

Let’s thank God for He is worthy to be praised.

Be Blessed!

Life and Hope

Life should not be taken lightly. Tomorrow is not promised. We should live each day to the fullest. Completing those tasks that need to be done, laughing, smiling, loving, and sharing. What you go through in life can be shared to help someone make it through.

Tell someone today you love them. Tell someone today that you appreciate them. Tell God how much you love him. Share what you have learned. Your sharing and loving is giving someone HOPE!

Dear Lord Jesus:

Show us how to love, to appreciate life and each other.

Amen!

Be Blessed!

Waiting

Waiting is not easy. Weeping my endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5. Then the morning comes and things are better, but your heart is still heavy. You wait with your head held high and a smile on your face. However, your eyes tell that you are not okay, you are feeling sad.  In your head you hear ” I lift up my eyes to hills forth with comes my help. (Psalm 121:1 King James Version (KJV))

The psalmist sang “after you have done all you can, you just stand.” You wait and stand. Beloved, things in life will take you and I by surprise. Some will hurt and some will make you laugh. Some will cause you to ask why?  Never the less, God said in 3 John 2 KJV , beloved I wish above all things that thy will prosper and be in good help.  Jesus came so that you may have life and it more abundantly.(John 10:10 KJV)

Every struggle, trails, failure and loss will make you and I stronger.

Be Blessed!

Love Thy Precepts

Psalm 119:159 King James Version (KJV)

159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy loving kindness.

King David loved the Lord’s commands so much that he was asking the Lord to revive him.  We should have the same love for obeying God’s word as David.

Men ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. (Ephesians 5:28)  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (1 Corinthians 7:1)

Let both men and women love their spouse as they love themselves and each one focus on their own spouse as God has commanded!

Be Blessed!

Smile and Love

Our love and smile should be shared.

Love is pure and has no bounds.

Love is patience and forgiving.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 John 4:11

Tell someone today that they are loved.

If our smile was meant for us, we would see our smile all time, not just in the mirror.

Share your smile today and brighten up someone’s day.

Be Blessed!

Family Life Love Poem

Family can not be chosen.

We must accept what we receive.

The love that is given,

May seem to be naive

Jesus was grieved,

So we may receive

Health, peace and joy was given,

Christ Jesus has risen.

We are raised up in heavenly places.

In Christ Jesus we now have a new family.

Love is freely given

And life is received.

Scripture References

Isaiah 53:1-5 King James Version (KJV) Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Ephesians 2:6 KJV And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Be Blessed!
