We Win

The  Bible tells us that we win in the end.  Those who believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and follow Him will be saved. They will be resurrected when Christ comes back.  Before Christ comes back for His bride, there will be problems that will arise. The songwriter sings ‘no matter what the weapon is I want you to know I win.  Beloved, we win.  The question I must pose is “whose report will you believe”?

Car Issues

This month has been the month of car problems. It is amazing on how much we depend on a vehicle to get our destination. One moment my car is fixed and the next it down. One this day, it has proven to a big downer in regards of not having my car functioning. So, I am going have to do like David did and encourage myself.  Okay, the pity party is done. I must move on.

Arise

I sit here typing in amazement of how awesome God is and how He decided before the foundation of this world to use me as His servant.  All the tests, trails and moments of silence were and are molding me into the individual that He wants me be. I am in all honesty, just an ordinary person. I have concerns and doubts just like anyone else. But, here is the thing, when God is speaking, one has to have an open to ear to hear the word of the Lord.  When the word comes forth and it tugs at your heart, one has to be willing to answer the call.  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1 King James Version) That word came forth in church service and it is not just for the local church body I attend, but the entire body of Christ. Arise!

Blessings!

Being On Time

One this particulate day,I had to go to the doctors. I arrived a few minutes early with the hope of being seen early and I do not like to be late.  I wait for 30 minutes before I doze on and off to sleep. I doze on and off to sleep for almost  20 minutes. I pull out my tablet to keep myself awake. I finally get called after waiting 50 minutes. Now, I am placed in patient room to be seen and I wait some more. This time it is for 5 minutes. My total wait time was 55 minutes.

You ever tried going to work 55 minutes late without informing your supervisor or boss that you will be late?  I think not.  If the corporate world requires you to inform management when you are running late, the doctor should do the same? I am just saying, it would be nice to get a text indicating that the doctor is behind schedule, please arrive at such and such time.

Now, let’s relate this to God.  What if God did not show up in the time of need and you got text saying son/daughter I have to go to see Johnnie. Whatttttt! We would flip out.  The Bible tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 KJV). He will never leave us or forsake us.(Hebrews 13:5).  God is always on time.

Deep Waters

The song writer sings, stirring up deep deep wells. Stirring up deep deep waters. Jump in the river.
In the days of old the children of God had to believe Him to find water. We do not have look for water here in the US. It is right there for us to use and drink at a moments notice. We are truly blessed. Not all people in the world have access to clean water and they may have to travel far to find some.

The Bible tell us of another water. A water that will never run dry. This water will quench your thirst like no other.

  • Psalm 46:4, There is a river the streams whereof shall make the city of God the holy place of the tabernacles of God.
  • Psalm 65:9, Thou visits the earth and wateriest it; thou greatly enriches it with the river of God, which is full of water.
  • Mark 9:41, For whosoever shall give you a drink of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
  • John 4:41, But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

We have access to the River of God through Christ Jesus. We have access to everlasting life.  Are you ready to jump in the river?  God longs for us to have a relationship with him.

Patience

Have you ever provided instructions that you thought was clear and when go back to see if the task is done and its wrong? Have you then restated what you said and find yourself holding your head in your hands? I have. At that moment when I find myself getting irritated and my voice starts to change, that is when I need to check myself. Am I being to hard and not having enough patience?

The Bible tells us that love is patience and love is kind. No one is perfect. I am striving to more Christ like and I want someone to have patience with me. Don’t you?

1 John 2:27 King James Version, But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

As long as I am abiding in Christ, God will continue to mold and teach me.

Amen!
